PROTIPS FOR BREWING

Everything you need to prepare a good coffee with the OUVER Coffee products.

Theoretically you can take every paper filter, which fits in your filter/funnel. Keep in mind that the filters, which are intended to be used for the Chemex, are „a little stronger“ so more oils and fat are filtered out and stay behind in the filter.

The OUVER Coffee Station works with, for example, a Hario V60 glass or ceramic filter. The diameter of the filter holder is 9 cm. To make sure that your filter is also compatible, simply check by measuring.

With the coffee preparation the most important parameter is the relation of coffee amount, to the used quantity of water. With a scale and a timer, you are able to weigh the grams necessary for brewing, or weigh out the exact amount of water you need and, additionally you can pay attention to the time.

You should make sure you grind your coffee beans freshly, at all times!

Mills with blow work grind the coffee mostly in differently big pieces what can lead to the coffee getting a bit of a bitter taste, so make sure your beans are nicely ground (like table salt). I personally, nevertheless, would advise you a small hand mill. You can get these for little money and they provide the best service!

Last but not least:

A good pour over kettle has a small thin pouring spout, which gives you better control of the water flow than a standard kettle.
